Indian Child Welfare
18300 W. Keetoowah Circle Tahlequah, OK 74464
The UKB Indian Child Welfare Department is responsible for taking care of our youngest tribal members, whether it is custody cases or providing children and parents with supplies or a safe place to go during troubling times. The department also voices support for the National Indian Child Welfare Act and receives updates on court cases surrounding the law.
The ICW Department is managed by Roxana Wilden. To those seeking information about if a child is UKB ICW eligible, please call the UKB ICW inquiry line for instructions. That number is 918-871-2834 or emails can also be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. For general information, call 918-871-2800.
Interested in Fostering?
We need Keetoowah Homes!
The UKB Indian Child Welfare Department makes every effort to inform and locate parents concerning hearings involving their children.
If a notice is below, it is because it is the last attempt by the department to reach a parent. Information on how to reach out to ICW is included in the document.
If you have a stable home and some solid parenting skills, you can become a foster parent! You can be single or married and it doesn't matter if you have children of your own. There are some specific requirements you have to be able to meet, including being able to pass a criminal background check. If you are interested, please click below to see all the requirements. For additional questions or to start the process, call 918-871-2800 and ask for ICW.
Congrats to the first Keetoowah Foster Home!
The UKB Indian Child Welfare Department would love to extend its thanks and gratitude to Andrew and Robyn Taylor. The Taylor's manage The McIntosh Home Foundation, our first Keetoowah-certified foster home! The foundation's home was graciously donated by Mrs. Davetta McIntosh in 2018. The Foundation itself is a 501 C 3 non-profit organization with a goal to provide a safe home for children in foster care. Donations of monetary value or even time are always welcome by the home.
