The UKB Transit Department provides Keetoowahs and the general public transportation in a demand-response format. The Tahlequah office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last call at 4 p.m. The Stilwell office is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. with last call at 4 p.m. Service areas are only within the nine UKB districts and for destinations right outside of jurisdiction, such as Tulsa. Service is subject to availability.

scheduling

Dispatch begins taking calls at 8:00 a.m. and takes last call at 4 p.m. Last call for rides 15+ miles out of town is 2 p.m. to ensure adequate drive time.
Driving time begins by 8:15 a.m. and ends by 4:30 p.m. This ensures drivers have enough time to do daily required vehicle maintenance.
No calls will be taken between 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. due to employee lunch break.
If you are calling at the time of last call being taken, transit expects it to be your last ride of the day. No additional stops or calls will be taken so that the driver may finish their shift by 5 p.m

Cancellations

If you no longer need a ride after you’ve called one in, please be sure to call and cancel with us so we can move on to our next passenger.
For scheduled appointment rides, please give us a cancellation notice on the business day that is before the scheduled day of the ride.
If a passenger has a record of 3 no shows for a scheduled ride, that rider will no longer be able to ride with UKB Transit for failing to follow UKB Transit Cancel Policy.

The United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma’s Transportation Department has updated the Tribe’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), Tribal Transportation Plan - Transportation Improvement Plan (TTP-TIP) and it is now available for review and public comment as required by 25 CFR Part 170. A copy of the LRTP and TTP-TIP may be obtained weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from either of the Tribe’s Transportation offices: 18931 West Keetoowah Circle, Tahlequah, OK 74465 or 1733 Hwy 59 South, Stilwell, OK 74960. Public comments will be received until March 10th, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. CSDT. Mail comments to UKB Transportation Department, ATTN: Toni Workman, P.O. Box 746, Tahlequah, OK 74465.
